For my climate art project I worked with a sixth grade class and focused primarily on weather and meteorology. The students created three dimensional sculptures based on sketches that they had drawn of different types of weather events. The students used a variety of art materials from rough cut lumber to plaster gauze and water color paint. The pieces could be viewed both individually or as a collaborative piece. The project reinforced the unit on weather and global climate that had just been covered in the science class.
